Privacy Policy

1. Overview

PilotTrack is an organizational application designed to help users track aviation-related validity dates, recency requirements, reminders and readiness information. PilotTrack is not a logbook and does not replace official records, regulations, company procedures, medical advice or operational decision-making.

2. Information You Enter

You may enter information such as names or descriptions of certificates, ratings, checks, medicals, training, documents, aircraft categories, expiry dates, recency-related activity, notes and other information you choose to manage in the app.

You are responsible for deciding what information to enter and for keeping that information accurate and up to date.

3. Local Data Storage

In the initial version of PilotTrack, application data is stored locally on your device. PilotTrack does not require a user account and does not use a PilotTrack-operated backend server to store your in-app tracking data.

At launch, PilotTrack does not provide iCloud synchronization. If cloud synchronization is introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when that functionality becomes available.

4. Notifications

PilotTrack may use local notifications to remind you about items that are approaching a date or threshold you configured. Notification scheduling is handled on your device and can be controlled through iOS notification settings.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. PilotTrack does not directly collect or store your full payment card details. Apple's own terms and privacy practices apply to App Store transactions.

6. Backup and Export

PilotTrack may allow you to export information or create backup files, including PDF, CSV or JSON files. Once you export, save, copy or share a file, you are responsible for where that file is stored and who can access it.

7. Support and Feedback

If you contact PilotTrack by email, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address, device details, screenshots or a description of a problem. This information is used to respond to your request, investigate issues or improve the app.

Please avoid sending sensitive personal, medical or operational information unless it is necessary for your support request.

8. Analytics, Advertising and Data Sales

The initial version of PilotTrack does not use third-party advertising, does not sell personal data and does not use a PilotTrack-operated analytics service to profile users. If analytics or other third-party data services are added later, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

9. Children's Privacy

PilotTrack is intended for users managing aviation-related requirements and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly design the service to collect personal information from children.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Information stored locally in PilotTrack remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app and its local data from your device. Copies included in device backups may remain subject to the backup and retention settings of the service you use.

Files you export from PilotTrack remain wherever you choose to save or share them and must be deleted by you from those locations if you no longer want to keep them.

If you contact PilotTrack support, correspondence and information you voluntarily provide may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, investigate a problem, maintain appropriate business records or meet legal obligations. You may contact support@pilottrack.app to request deletion of personal information you provided directly through support communications, subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain.

11. Your Choices and Permissions

You can control notification permission through iOS Settings. You can stop using PilotTrack at any time, remove locally stored information from the app where deletion controls are available, and delete exported files from the locations where you saved them.

12. Data Security

Reasonable care is taken in the design of PilotTrack, but no device or digital storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect access to your device and exported backup files using appropriate device security and storage practices.

13. Your Responsibility for Aviation Information

PilotTrack is an organizational aid only. Go / No Go and similar indicators are informational aids based on the data entered into the app and do not constitute legal, regulatory, medical or operational clearance. Always verify your status using official documents, applicable regulations, approved systems and organizational procedures.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when PilotTrack changes, including when features such as iCloud synchronization, analytics or additional services are introduced. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
